The customer reached out to us about installing new gutters and downspouts after experiencing persistent issues with water overflowed during heavy rains, leading to pooling around the foundation and potential damage to their home’s exterior and landscape. Concerned about the long-term impact, they sought our expertise for a comprehensive solution.
When we installed the new gutters, we also provided a solution by incorporating heat tape wire. This addition was particularly beneficial for the customer in preventing ice dam formation during winter months.
The heat tape wire was strategically installed along the roof edge and in the gutters to ensure that any accumulated snow or ice would melt and drain properly, reducing the risk of ice buildup. This proactive measure helps to prevent water from backing up under shingles, which can lead to leaks and significant damage to the roof and interior.
By combining the new gutters with the heat tape wire, we offered the customer a comprehensive solution that not only improved their home’s drainage system but also enhanced its winter performance, ensuring peace of mind during the colder months. The customer appreciated this thoughtful approach, knowing it would save them from potential headaches and costly repairs in the future.
